Africa rooted.
Globally Minded.
Creatively Driven.
Hello. My name is Sharon Njavika and I work as a research practitioner who is fascinated by human behaviour, storytelling and art. I am passionate about using creativity to help answer research questions and design solutions to solve social impact challenges.
Welcome to my page.

My
Approach
I integrate three key methodologies in my practice. Qualitative research to understand the depth and nuances of people's experiences and find meaning in numerical data, behavioural science to unpack how and why decisions are made, and Human-Centred Design to create holistic solutions that consider people's lives and environments.

01
Qualitative
Research
Understanding what we don't know and starting from a place of exploration, a qualitative approach takes us below the surface, uncovering rich insights and the nuanced 'hows' and 'whys' behind people's experiences.

02
Behavioural
Science
Always curious about why we do what we do. Behavioural science is that lens that helps me unravel the fascinating complexities of human behaviour and decision-making.

03
Human Centred
Design
HCD approaches research questions with openness and humanity, seeing people not just as participants, data points or users, but as individuals and co-creators with unique lives and stories. It sparks creativity in how we explore challenges.

Applying an integrated approach involves a dynamic discovery and co-creation with users. It deepens my understanding of people's lives, contexts, and decision-making, which informs solutions that are innovative, relevant, intuitive, and user-centric.

Sector
Specialisation
I have had the privilege of working across different sectors, which has broadened my perspective. This varied experience allows me to bring a unique and well-rounded approach to every new challenge.

Clients and Collaborators
I have worked on projects and initiatives alongside a diverse network of global philanthropic agencies, bilateral agencies, social enterprises, private sector companies and community-based organisations.
